This is the best keyboard in our opinion because it is the perfect one for both play and work purposes. Not only that, but it has an attractive design, which means it won’t standout if you decide to have it on your desk. It is equipped with Romer-G Switches, and you’ll be pleased with how quiet they perform. The bottom line is the Logitech G413 is a product for both the casual and serious gamer, so you should definitely consider buying it.
2. SteelSeries Apex M500
The Apex M500 is a basic mechanical PC keyboard, but it does the job and it also has an attractive design. Unlike the previously discussed keyboard, this one has CherryMX switches, as well as blue back-lighting. It comes with customization software too.
Unlike more advanced products, this one doesn’t come equipped with macro keys, nor does it have a pass-through. However, if you’re like a lot of people and you don’t really care about extra features, then the SteelSeries Apex M500 is for you. By the way, it doesn’t cost that much either, and that’s a bonus.
3. HyperX Alloy FPS
This is the company’s first attempt at a keyboard designed for gaming and they did a great job at delivering. Sure, this is a very basic gaming keyboard for FPS, but there are so many great things that can be said about it. For starters, it has red key back-lighting and there are no other buttons for media or macros, and this is perfectly fine for many people.
Also, The HyperX Alloy FPS isn’t that expensive. If that wasn’t impressive enough, it is a good size, so you won’t have to worry about it taking up a bunch of space. If you want a good deal on one of the top gaming mechanical keyboards, then look no further than this one.
4. Cougar 700K
If you want a very cheap keyboard, then the Cougar 700K is for you. It has Cherry MX switches, as well as keys for multimedia and it even has extra buttons for macros. With all those features, you will be surprised at how cheap it is.
It does have a unique design, as it features a split space-bar, with one of the buttons having the capability of being assigned to another macro function. As for the other space-bar, it does what you’d expect it to do. If you want a keyboard that isn’t extremely attractive, but comes equipped with great features and one that is cheap, then consider getting the Cougar 700K.
5. Corsair Vengeance K70
This keyboard is gorgeous and has a Cherry MX red switches, but you can choose brown or blue switches. It has a full back-light and it has a set of contoured keys. The keys are what you’d find on standard WASD keyboards. This is a good thing because it means you’ll easily find those keys when you need to use them.
The keyboard does have an industrial look to it. This does mean you will likely encounter a bit of dust and dirt from time to time. However, if you take care of it, then this shouldn’t be a good issue. All in all, the Corsair Vengeance K70 is a good buy.
6. Asus ROG Claymore
Another good choice is the Asus ROG Claymore, which has a beautiful design and has a metal and plastic build. The RGB lighting can easily be synced with Asus Aura motherboards, as well as graphic cards. However, it doesn’t come equipped with a USB pass-through or a wrist rest, but it does offer you a number of choices when it comes to Cherry MX switches.
7. Corsair K95 RGB Platinum
Perhaps the most over the top mechanical keyboard for PC gaming is the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum. It’s safe to say that Corsair outdid themselves when they built this keyboard, which features an RGB strip. You will love all the glowing lights as you use it.
The rest of the keyboard is worth taking about too. It has a sturdy base and it features a USB pass-through, as well as a wrist rest. Cherry MX speed key switches power it too, which means you can rest assure this keyboard is responsive. However, it is extremely expensive, but it is well worth it.
